SiX Australia - Associate Sound Designer

Global sensation, SiX the Musical headed to Australia to start it's reign on the other side of the world.

I was delighted to head over to Sydney to help set up and the Australian production in starting in the iconic Sydney Opera House.

It was great to team up with Australian sound company JPJ Audio - they were responsible for providing the equipment and show staff.

The production took place in the Sydney Opera House studio theatre and it was by far the biggest scale project and sound system they'd ever had.

To make it work we needed to reconfigure the space by rotating it by 45 degrees and putting the stage in the corner of the room.

Similar to London, UK Tour and Chicago; the main system formed of d&b audiotechnik Y-Series, Digico SD10T, UAD Realtime Rack with Roland M-48 personal mixers.

The Australian production used Shure Axient handhelds with the DPA d:facto 4018V capsules.
